I had a Facebook message last week from a loyal Australian reader of TRDC blog (thanks Tom Manwaring) and he was excited to tell me about a magic little app by the name of The Rock Clock.
Tom knows full well how this is my kind of thing.....and he was right. I love it.
I tested it out this morning for the first time and it actually worked, it cut down my time from waking up to going for my morning ritual that sets my day up (Jog and mental exercises).
I have got so bored with the usual alarm clock sound that I have on my iPhone but now thanks to this App I can mix things up and kick my day off in a different and more productive way.
It primes my day and I can tell that it will increase my productivity in the mornings at least.
This App has just been released by 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson and it is designed to wake you up in the morning and motivate you to complete your main goals for the day.
It is basically a motivating alarm clock for your phone.
First off it has no snooze button, well that would obviously go against the whole point of this App. Dwayne commented on this by reminding us that "Life has no snooze", nicely said.
Within this alarm App you get different video message from Dwayne and at the moment there are 25 different alarm tones that you can choose from. Some of them are funny whilst others are straight up annoying but they are all good at what they are supposed to do.
It also allows you to write in your goal for the day, you can write things like 'Finish and send that sponsorship proposal' or ' Call up 10 teams today and get that drive' or 'Get a coach today to help me sort out X'.
You will then be coaxed by Dwayne to get the goal completed, plus you get a button to press when you have completed it. Nice touch.
The Rock said “We all have hopes, goals, dreams and aspirations, and I've officially made it my project to help as many of you get after your goals as possible. Let's get after it and chase greatness... together.”
It even has Dwayne's alarm time in there, the time he wakes up. This will put a lot of you to shame. Even me :-(
Remember...it's the little things that make a difference to our lives and results long term, this is one of those little things that may just help you take action on the days you feel lifeless. Oh, and this App is free.
I will be using mine again tomorrow when I need to get up to fly to Indianapolis at Stupid o'clock.
